How to register a new domain at Rivervo.

From searching to paying — step-by-step domain registration, plus the settings worth checking afterwards: WHOIS privacy, auto-renew and nameservers.

2 MIN READ

Registering a domain at Rivervo takes a couple of minutes. Here's the full path.

Find an available domain

New panel (rivervo.com/panel): + Create → Domain → New domain, and type the name you want.

You can also search on rivervo.com/domains — checkout there continues in the panel.

The search shows whether the name is free and the price per extension before you pay. If your first choice is taken, try other extensions.

A few things can't be bought: premium domains, .az and .com.az, and some country-code extensions.

Ordering a website at the same time? The website wizard (+ Create → Website) lets you pick a new domain as part of the order. A .com is free for the first year with a yearly Rapids or Delta plan — the wizard shows it.

Choose the term

1 year is always available. Some extensions also offer 2 or 3 years up front — the panel shows the options for that extension.

Owner details

Every domain needs owner contact details (name, address, phone, email) — the registry requires them. They come from your account's Domain contacts (Account settings → Domain contacts), which you fill in once. Your account email must be verified before you can register a domain.

Pay

Pay by card (via Paddle — card details never touch our servers) or from your Rivervo balance.

After registration — the verification email

For many extensions, the registry sends the owner a verification email after registration. Open it and confirm within 15 days, or the domain stops working. Check spam if you don't see it.

Didn't get it? Domain tab → Ask support to resend.

Settings worth checking

All on the domain's project → Domain tab:

WHOIS privacy — free, and on by default for new registrations wherever the extension allows it. Hides your name, email and address from public WHOIS. See WHOIS privacy.

Auto-renew — off after registration. Turn it on (a yearly card subscription — it pays for the next year right away) if you want the domain renewed automatically. Losing a domain to expiry means anyone can register it. See Renewing a domain.

Transfer lock — in the Security card. Keep it on unless you're moving the domain to another registrar.

Connect it to a website or email

  • Rivervo website: the domain needs Rivervo nameservers (ns1.rivervo.com, ns2.rivervo.com). Domain tab → Use Rivervo nameservers.
  • Business email: project → Email tab → Set up email.
  • Hosting elsewhere: Domain tab → Change nameservers and enter your other host's nameservers.

Pricing

Prices for each extension are shown in the search before you pay — no surprises at checkout.
